In 1856, it snowed so much that it resulted in 100 days of sledding. Bostwick was a very memorable leader in Medina due to his ability to have everyone gather together for something in the community. This happening has carried on ever since. Events such as the Fair, candle light walk, ice festival, spirits of the past, and the saturday market are just some of the few. If it wasnt for Bostwick in 1856, events like this might not be taking place and the whole community may not come together as well as it does today.
